Glass Coasters

There are so many kinds of glass coasters possible! In this gallery are just the ones we've made. Each is about 10cm square, and comes with clear bumpers in the corners to protect wooden surfaces. Any can be shaped into shallow dishes. They range from £6 to £12 depending on cost of raw materials and complexity. Slice of orange coaster

Made to enter a food-themed fused glass art show, this is a rather fun take on an orange. Other round fruits such as pomegranate, kiwi, grapefruit are all possible. And, yes, this is all glass; no painting involved!

'A river runs through it' channel coaster

A coaster design with a difference. The solid transparent colour is has a 'river' channel running through it, lined with special sparkly glass chips, that reflects lots of different colours, almost like diamonds. Available in lots of colours — see other pictures in the gallery.

'Diamonds are forever' coaster

A coaster design with a difference. The solid transparent colour has diamond-like special sparkly glass chips embedded into it, that reflect lots of different colours. Available in a variety of colours, though I think dark base colours work well. (NB: The glass chips aren't sharp, but the surface of the coaster is unlikely to be completely flat.)

Coasters with heart outlined in gold flakes, with yellow and red glass chips. These are then shaped a second in the kiln to be gently curved.
